Chatham Borough Recreation is committed to providing a broad range of recreational opportunities. While many of those opportunities are jointly sponsored with Chatham Township (see chathamrecreation.org ). Chatham Borough continues to administer its Borough owned tennis courts, municipal pool, playgrounds and parks. Activities offered to our residents are a success due to the cooperation of volunteers who give their time to our community
 

Chatham Borough participates in McArp (Morris County Adaptive Recreation Program), offers Golf Permits to the Millburn Par 3 Golf Course and assists with the funding of items for the Chatham Wrestling Club the Chatham Community Band and the Senior Citizens of the Chathams.

   
 
Chatham Borough offers several recreation areas:

Shepard Kollock Park, located off Parrott Mill Road, offers a covered picnic shelter, an all purpose field, baseball, softball, a boat launch and a playground.

Memorial Park, located off North Passaic Avenue, offers a tree covered playground, softball, basketball, picnic tables and a swimming pool.

Pool memberships to the Chatham Borough Municipal Pool are available to Chatham Borough residents. Badges are sold at the pool during open pool hours. Residents can purchase a badge by bringing their current drivers license and a current electric or gas utility bill to the pool. The pool is open weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend and closes on Labor Day.

Garden Park, located off Main Street and adjacent to the Chatham Middle School, offers tennis practice boards, 6 tennis courts, basketball and a playground area.

Tennis Memberships are available to Chatham Borough Residents. Residents can purchase a tennis badge and key to the courts by bringing their current drivers license and a current electric or gas utility bill, weekdays, to the Chatham Borough Municipal Building Main Office. Badge sales begin late March/early April. Professional Tennis Lessons are available in the spring, summer and fall to tennis members.

Lum Avenue, located off Lum Avenue, offers baseball, softball, an all purpose field and basketball.

Stanley Park, located on River Road adjacent to the Passaic River, offers a small picnic area.

If you are considering reserving a park or picnic area, please contact Chatham Borough Recreation at 973-635-7066 to discuss the activity and possible available dates.

Traveling Boys & Girls Basketball Flag Football Women's Softball
Lacrosse - Girls and Boys Cheerleading Women's Volleyball
Skiing Baseball Men's Softball
  Softball Men's Basketball

Volunteers are critical to a program's success. While the Chathams have normally been fortunate in recruiting volunteers, with residents hectic lives and the multiple activities residents pursue, there is always an active need.
