RECREATION MEETING July 13, 2010.
SUMMER/FALL REGISTRATION Registration now ongoing on Community Pass for the summer and fall.
CHATHAM BORO POOL: The pool is now open its full-time schedule. Badges are sold, during open hours, at the pool. All residents entering the pool must have their own badge. Chatham residents will need to present their drivers license as well as a current Jersey Central or Public Service utility bill with their Chatham address. Chatham resident badge fees for the season are: $375 Chatham Boro family of 4 or more $100 Chatham Boro Individual $50 Chatham Boro Senior Citizen $125 Chatham Township Individual $75 Chatham Township Senior Citizen. New this year will be some adult water aerobic classes, raft days and other special events. Anyone with questions can call Recreation at 635-7066. A full brochure with hours, dates, etc. is available at the pool.
TENNIS: 2010 Tennis Permits are being sold weekdays in the Recreation Office in the Chatham Borough Municipal Building. Membership, open to Chatham residents, is necessary to enter the courts. 2010 membership fees are $50 per member for Boro residents and $75 per member for Chatham Twp residents. A current driver’s license and current Public Service or Jersey Central bill, with your Chatham address, is necessary to purchase a membership.
TENNIS LESSONS: Professional Tennis Lessons are available to Chatham Boro residents who have purchased a 2010 tennis membership. Tennis Dynamics offers 6 one hour lessons in the spring, fall and summer for children and adults. Participants need to be a Chatham Boro resident who have purchased a 2010 Tennis Badge. All of the classes are Beginner/Advanced Beginner unless otherwise specified. Beginner/Advanced Beginner lessons are $50 and Intermediate 1 are $60. Loaner racquets are available for the first session. Registration forms are available at the Recreation Office at the Borough Municipal Building, 54 Fairmount Avenue for the summer lessons. Deadline for registration is July 6th. Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesday beginning July 7th. NEW for this summer will be an ADULT only session. These will run Sundays beginning July 11th. Adult beginner/advanced beginner, intermediate and semi private will be held. Registration forms are available at the Boro Municipal Building.
GOLF PERMITS Golf permits are available to Chatham residents for the Summit Municipal Golf Course by calling 908-277-2932. Permits are also available for the Millburn Par 3 Golf Course. Individual Limited Use Permits are $90 and Individual Full Member Permits are $180. As per Millburn, Borough residents interested in a permit should bring a thumb sized photo of themselves, a check made out to Millburn Twp Golf Course, a copy of a current JCPL or PSEG bill and a current driver’s license all with your borough address. Chatham residents must be age 18 or older to purchase a permit. Permits will be available in the Recreation Office at 54 Fairmount, weekdays between 8am and 4pm. Please call first to make sure someone is in to help you.
ONLINE REGISTRATION: Chatham residents can go to the registration page at ChathamRecreation.org and set up an account with Community Pass. Community Pass is recreation^s online registration where residents can use their Visa or Master Card to register for an activity.
