WATER
The Borough of Chatham provides water service to it residents. Bills are sent on a quarterly basis. For billing questions please call 973-635-0674 extension 214.
SEWERAGE
Billing for sewerage is done on a quarterly basis; and charges appear along with those for water in a combined bill. The fees for sewerage are based on metered water consumption, and are measured in cubic feet. For further questions on billing please call 973-635-0674 extension 214. If emergency sewer back up should occur, please phone the police department at 973-635-8000.

SOLID WASTE
The Borough provides solid waste removal for its residents. Billing is done annually. In addition, residents are required to place all garbage in special green bags which may be obtained at certain local vendors, including Kings Market, Village Hardware and Dreyer’s Lumber. Pick-ups take place twice a week, with a Bulk Pick-up for larger items once a month, at beginning of each month. Pick-up dates are determined by the location of each residence. Recycling is also provided on alternating Mondays.
All items are to be placed at the curb prior to 7:00 a.m. on the day of pick up, but not before 5:00 p.m. the night before. For a list of dates and important phone numbers, calendars may be obtained at Borough Hall. For solid waste questions, please call 973-635-0674 extension 214.
