2024 Garbage Program Information
- Garbage cart size exchanges will begin next week; please try the can you currently have to be sure you want a different size! You will be allowed one change for 2024, and exchanges will only be permitted based on cart inventory.
- If you find you have additional garbage that does not fit in your cart after the first few pickups you should upsize your can. Extra garbage stickers will only be available up to three times per year, per household. With once a week pickup you may find you have decided on too small of can and you will not be able to change again until 2025.

- ORANGE - If your address is North of Main Street your new garbage collection day will be Tuesdays. Borough containers must be used. Bulk pickup day will be the first Friday of the month.
- BLUE - If your address is south of Watchung Avenue your new garbage collection day will be Thursdays. Borough containers must be used. Your Bulk pickup day will be the third Friday of the month.

* Old containers can be recycled at the recycling center at any time, used for other purposes, or labeled to be picked up in bulk.
* Stickers will be allowed up to 3x per year - if you need more than that you should upsize your cart. Additional details regarding the new sticker program can be found here: file (chathamborough.org)
*Residents can exchange their cart size once per year, based upon available inventory.
